Our Painted Lady butterflies have arrived. We were able to observe the six butterflies that have just emerged from their chrysalisemerged from their chrysalis.
So far we have 6 in the enclosure and one that is flying throughout the classroom. We have placed some orange slices in the habitat in order to provide them wiht some nourishment.
Please ask your child to explain,
how do the butterflies get the sweet juice from the orange slices?

(Hold out two fingers on each hand at shoulder height and pretend to fly. Use the pointer fingers to make antennae on top of the head.)
