Today we listen to and read the book Rosie's Walk by Pat Hutchins. This story is another example of a 'circle story' as Rosie the hen leaves her house, goes on a journey and 'makes it back home in time for dinner'.


Please have your child use the following picture to retell the story,

across the yard                                

around the pond

over the haystack

past the mill

through the fence

under the beehive

and got back in time for dinner
